"Broomwade" - Type AC 25

I too have just bought a broomwade compressor and I have been unable to find out anything about its specs. It also has a strange pneumatic control valve setup which keeps the motor running but the pump idles. I hope to remove this if poss+fit an electric pressure switch to save elec. Cheers

This was a typical control system back then. It's effective in continuous industrial use and reduces the stress on the motor from frequent starts.

What kind of specs do you need ?, depending on which motor is on the unit it would be 5 or 7 cfm.

Am hoping to find out its maximum rpm and duty cycle. How long can it run for, flat out? I have since replaced the pneunmatic control valve with an electric equivalent+it works well.

Max RPM would be 950 i would think as that is what the max is for most of the other models in the range, they were rated for continuous running with the suction valve unloader system that was on it, if yours is still in good condition I cant see you wrecking it in a DIY application.

Would you be able/kind enough to see if you can get me some specs & documentation for a Broomwade VR41, it looks remarkably similar to an AC41 using google images, but I cannot find reference to the VR41 anywhere.

I am trying to restore this compressor and info would help.
