Burns on Face

Hey yall,
I was wondering if yall had any tips or techniques on how i can keep from burning my face whilst welding vertically. i’m using a welding helmet, safety glasses, welding cap, gloves, & jacket. what can i do to stop the burns

Hood attached to your welding shield at the top and sides to stop spatter or reflected UV getting in?

I never had this problem till the pulse MIG landed.

Sunburn on my neck.

Now I got "bib" thing for a Speedglas mask.

I have a welding balaclava. Not really used it much, but bought it for when working underneath my old (now demised) camper.

I use one when welding aluminium in lorry bodies to prevent reflections burning my neck etc

I once got sunburnt in the shape of a perfect rectangle around my eyes from the UV of MIG welding.

Once my wife had stopped laughing at my face, she said SPF 50 cream was the obvious answer.
