Hi all, first time poster here!
I'm slowly teaching myself to weld (badly, according to my local scrap dealer!), and recently bought a Butters 285 3 phase welder on eBay for 99p. I got it home, fitted a new plug, and to my surprise it works!
The only problem I can find, is the torch is permanently live. So, I'm assuming I've got a sticky relay/contactor or switch. Before I try to sketch the circuit I thought I'd ask if any one has an info - a circuit diagram, service or user manual, etc.
The model number/rating label on the back is illegible, so I've attached some pictures in the hope someone can identify it.
