There is no pot fitting to dictate the hose fitting. But I now know what I need.

I had a test blast tonight. Gonna be slow...
but I'll get there.

The pot has a couple of leaks which I need to resolve.
I have a small Stanwell 3.7cfm 100psi compressor as well, Dcal previously said not to bother with it, but it would give me virtually 30% more airflow if I put them in tandem? what am I missing? Edit just found his post and it my be the hassle factor in that it needs a bit of tlc.

I have a tub of that. Will try today on the round thing.
My big concern is that I'm doing this in my garden and haven't got an obvious space where HCl can just run off. The sculpture is nearly 2m X 1m so not easy to contain. If I do it on the patio, that will end up variously cleaned/blotchy and I'll then have to factor in treating the whole patio to make it even.

For general information/anyone thinking of buying: I'm getting a blasting circle of max 10mm when pressure is high (100psi), falling to about 5mm diameter if I let the pressure drop to 50psi. Compressor is Abac A29B 3hp 11-13cfm 90l tank.

I'm spending maybe 50/50 time blasting/waiting for the compressor. Hard to say as the waiting goes slowly and the blasting goes quickly and obviously taken my watch off.

Other than that, it is doing the job.

The medium grit crushed glass is going through the 3mm nozzle with no problems.

Also just had a (really quick) response from ABAC, the compressor is only rated on a 50% duty cycle - he quoted 5 mins on/5 off. Hmmm.

I got a helmet on eBay yet to try it yet but it looks like a hard hat with a glass and hood attached and an air feed in the back from China for 50quid a good helmet is a must in my opinion I got so dirty using one of those cheap ones and a sundstrom mask doing my tractor as for air I use an ancient road compressor I picked up cheap

I have been using the one that came with the pot. I added more material so that the front comes down to my trousers and the shoulders hang down over my arms. The back needs to be extended for balance, to counteract the front. I used bed sheet in the end, I had wanted something stiffer, but couldn't find anything suitable in the fabric bag. This works very well and AFAICT I get no significant grit in there. I get some grit on me when taking it off though.

The window is a tad small and can be in the wrong place occasionally. An A5 piece of acetate taped over maked a good expendable protector.

Is it thick enough to protect the visor? Can you get it free enough of wrinkles? It would be quicker though, if it worked.

I tried clingfilm but it got punctured although it did keep the finer dust off the visor. Cut-up drinks bottles were the best, at one time I could buy a 2 Ltr bottle of Netto's coke in a clear plastic bottle for less than the cost of a genuine tear-off!
