The diameter of the conductor of a 35mm2 cable is 6.7mm, 75mm2 is 9.8mm dia and 95mm2 is 11mm dia. (All figures approx)
To work it out Gav, measure the diameter of the conductor and half it to get the radius, multiply that by itself and that figure by Pi (3.142).
So, if a cable measures roughly 10mm diameter, the radius is 5mm, 5 x 5 = 25, 25 x 3.142 = 78.55 so the cable is most likely to be 75mm2.
