Good idea but getting harder and harder to do, over population is another major headache, land is getting more and more expensive as its bought up for land. I just hope the global recession predicted for this year is not as bad as predicted.

My pal is a professional coach builder and just being seen with a fabricated box wheel could cause damage to reputation.

A bit like having a welder turn up to weld a pressure vessel with a Aldi welder

I don't agree. A well fabricated plate wheel would be more a sign of competence to anyone who knows anything, and people that don't know would just think it was normal!

This is rough state pre fettling and shot blast . Just got to find cheap shotblaster
Plenty of meat to machine out pitting, foundry man told me proper name for it but I forgot

What sort of blasting do you need. Actual steel shot blasting or would JBlast forget the name (is it Copper Slag?) do it?

I have heard of shot blasting being used in Connecting rod production for high performance engines. Someone told me it helps with stress relief after forging ? Does it help with cast iron castings ?
