Whenever we weld the chassis on a car to increase stiffness for handling, we only ever stitch weld, as it helps in containing a crack, should one ever happen.
With the KE corollas that we mess around with, we always stitch weld the cross members and rear suspension mounts. Then if we go further, the floor pan gets stitch welded.
