can compressor tanks be bolted together?

i just put a hole in the side of mine and welded a fiten on so i can put my rubber tube on to it and put the out let pipe from my worken one to the regaltor and works fine i put the bottle on its side as well as its the large orange one

Make sure you can drain water from each tank.

Cheers folks, I've got a blue butane, nearly sorted the connection, got a taper fitting with a half inch compression on the other end, just can't quite get enough thread screwed in for my piece of mind.... probably run the thread in the lathe with a blade to deepen the thread, the knock the top off the edges so to speak.

I guess mounting upside down sorts the drain problem, hadn't really considered it. I had let off the best part of a rattle can to coat the inside.

Have got a propane, but it still half full. Both from freecycle, just cost the connectors and a bit of pipe, i like it when it comes in cheap!!!!!

That's why I modified the original fitting.

Freecycle is wonderful - I got 10 butane cylinders in one go, my car looked like a bomb, just as well I didn't get pulled.
