Not my field smaller rods although I used to be able to stitch very thin material with 6013s on A/C and 80OVC the pact ice has now gone with MIG plants...The slag would help as you could keep the arc down to a dull fizz by keeping the arc length pushed into the pool, a helluva technique that and one I undoubtedly would not be able to do these days..
A 6013 needs a bit more whipping to keep the pool inclusion free on lower amps but still very achievable..
