Thanks very much for that. I'm subscribed to your channel and I watched it and really enjoyed it. I was very interested to see the settings. My few attempts at tig brazing have been less than useful. I need a lot more practice!

How do you/they decide by much to skim it, and keep the compression ratio sensible?

Just enough to make the face flat this one was only 30 thou

A mate of mine works for a company that makes press tooling
They have a few big mills & grinders
It was just to big for me to do at home

You maintain the compression ratio with a thicker head gasket designed for post skim usage. ( thicker than std by the skim qty )

What brand of Si Br was that?

Plus the thickness of the rod?

Ive had a go with some cheap stuff off the bay the job looked like it had been raked from a fire
