Oh yeh I did also ask what the price should be as I don't know anything about it.

I think it's crazy that some of your members could get a great deal from someone who has a welder that they have no need for and your group stops this ?
It an item that would have to be collected so obviously not dodgy or fraudulent.

I can see where the mods and others are coming from on this one,
anyone can come on here then say they'd like to offer members a good deal on a welder,
thats what ebay is for... the free ads on here are intended for enthusiasts,

that is why the minimum post count before selling is in place as realistically once this welder is sold you're not likely to ever return to this forum as you have expressed no interest in learning to weld as this is a forum for like minded people not simply a join,sell & then leave place.

Selling items on here is a way of rewarding members who actively participate on the forum.

I think it's fair to assume you were aware of the rules for posting items for sale on the forum after your second thread

This thread is just a continuum of the first 2 threads: so what's makes you think you are going to get a different answer.

Rules are rules: trying to get round them is going to get you no where.


However I do feel the mods should have been on this long before the bickering started.

This reminds me of the media, A very small, insignificant incident that's so small and unimportant its not worth even mentioning, But no people get hold of it and think hmm nice! Lets make this into something it really is not. No one has died, no one has lost a leg or had their eye poked out............. can we have some common sense here? Help the lad out then he will be on his way and a member may get a welder they have been looking for. It wont hurt or cost anyone anything will it?

I have feeling a part like that wont be available due it it's age, but it's worth a shot.

I have a 200 version of your welder and i am in kent, if it comes to it you can come and look at mine and take the unit apart to see whats inside. I think its only a potentiometer in a box, although i'm not into electronics wizardry.

if you have a foot pedal you downt really need that amperage control. Note it pplugs in just like a foot pedal
