I don't think Stihl is anything like what it used to be and appt of people I know are going away from them
Alot of echos and makitas starting to circulate now due to problems with Stihl and husky
I like the look of makitas and think I will try one next time round seem a lot more solid and in dollar colours they are popular with american loggers so must put up with some abuse
As for brush cutters Stihl seem to have left these alone and can still take a beating although my experience is the big ones
How much work have you got to do as it may be worthwhile considering electric
Loads of tree surgeons I know have gone electric for the smaller saws now
Makita are dolmar very good brand, echo top handle i had was ok but first time it swung into a trunk as happens from time to time plastic bits flew off
Cordless is good for reductions no replacement on bigger jobs.
Cordless hedge cutters from Stihl are really good
