Chainsaw guide bar replacement

I've an 18" Oregon Doulde Guard .325 guidebar on a small saw (sanli CS45) I want to replace the orginal bar with a shorter setup.

Part number on bar makes no sense; 523700

Looking to use 15 or 16 bar.

Anyone help with finding out what will fit, not having much luck at the mo

Slot is 77x8 bolt holes8.5mm

The "bolt holes" are the adjuster and oil holes Is there any marking like K095 on the bar, that is the bar pattern and if it's Oregon there should be various sizes available. It does look like K095 which is Husqvarna small mount and is available in 3/8 and .325 if the slot is actually 8.5mm wide.

Yes oil hole is top left of upper mount hole.

The oil holes are separate to the bolt holes on that bar - zoom in and look up and left from the 'top' adjuster hole...

Sorry ddn't spot that it's gobbed up as well I edited and added a bit on the strength of that it looks like Husky small mount which is used by a lot of manufacturers of domestic saws.

The hole is the adjuster hole, mount bolts run in the slot so it can slide to tension the chain.

How do I find out if the drive sprocket on the saw is correct for the chain.

These are the two types of "sprockets" both will be marked with the chain they go with (325 in your case). I prefer the first type as you only have to replace the rim until the basket wears out rather than the hole clutch basket.

So, so long as I stick with a .325 chain the sprocket should be good (subject to wear)

Not all small saws have a rim sprocket option but if your chain and sprocket are .325 then they match.

They sell a version of your saw with a 37cc engine and a 40cm bar, pretty sure somebody at Handy should be able to help, they've been in business, in one way or another since the 40s I think. They used to be in Swindon, not sure if they're still there.

Probably won't be the very cheapest option but I tend to think that for jobs like this it's best to go to a decent shop/dealer who ought to be able to measure it up and identify it all and supply the right parts. Then if you want cheaper spares you'll have all the numbers, let them do the work and supply the basics.

There's two places within a mile, I wont be going to either. I had to buy a chain last yr in a hurry.
37quid for a 18" chain, and that was from where I knew a few of the lads

I've got 8 saws and none of the sprockets or clutch drums interchange due to bore size, internal steps, width and diameter of clutch shoes, etc.

Not sure if there listed on not, I put the pictures up to show the types that are available. I should of been clearer.

No choice, hense the questions

Thanks for the linky. I found a while back, it's for stihl bars, the oregon id chart is no better.
I think because it has a OEM bar on it they dont put alot of info on them to make you buy "their" bar
