...... I will convert ours to run on the blast pot at some point... when, I'm not sure...
sadly I can appreciate that point.....

I have 100 set on the regulator but this drops as soon as the gun is operated to around 80 - 90 psi. With the cheap small cabinets, what pressure are people operating the guns at? With a syphon system, there's a point where too much pressure in to the gun counteracts the syphon effect. Someone told me to stay at no more than 90psi, and I do and I think that seems to work. So I have the regulator on the compressor set the max the tank will hold, then a second regulator just before the gun set at 90psi. I usually use the size 4 nozzle.

just run all my stuff over 110 psi apart from spray guns got a lot of spare capacity so it never drops .any delicate stuff gets done with the suction gun beads and sand .anything big gets grit open blastingNot heard that before - mine runs at full un-regulated pressure, so well over 100psi - somewhere around 115psi. If I'm doing more delicate parts, I'll throttle it down. Nozzle isn't massive - 2-3mm dia.
I can add a 3hp piston compressor, as well as a little 1.5hp thingie if the hydrovane starts to not keep up . . . luckily the other half doesn't pull me up when I complain about 5W LED lights being left on with no-one in the room, and compare it with all that coming on-line . . .just run all my stuff over 110 psi apart from spray guns got a lot of spare capacity so it never drops .any delicate stuff gets done with the suction gun beads and sand .anything big gets grit open blasting
