Have you noticed on you tube and in pictures ,just how many TIG welders are left handed , yes I know folk often weld with both hands , as i often say Id give my right arm to be ambidextrous.
but messing aside , now Ive mentioned it take note , lots of lefties out there tigging things.

Old leather jackets from charity shops, you can look quite natty in some

If you find an old fringed leather Belstaff jacket don't even think of welding in it, they fetch good money. Get it to the Ace café and flog it. I find denim as good as anything at resisting flame and sparks.

I TIG lefty sort of. Mainly because the bloke who showed me was. I also put PTFE on lefty for the same reason!

And there's one here who made a complete backside of his first two attempts/sessions and never got back to it [yet]. Must persevere though, it'd be great to be able to weld inside instead of having to rely on weather forecasts for planning......

I have a portwest jacket that I was given. I've had it four years so far and its still going. Pocket unravelled almost immediately, but still no holes, and I'm welding and grinding all day. Next time I'll get a larger one so I can wear a sweater under it in winter, but I'll definitely get another one when it finally expires.
