Yes this is factor! It does irritate me when I look at the first lot of damage to a new lid.

Spare parts drew me away from Optrel to Speedglas

I got mine off eBay bit by bit. Watched for the main part, the screen unit and eventually one turned up that had been misadvertised. Can't remember the exact details but there was a picture of a top-of-the-line 9100xx and in the description, some other cheaper one. Paid about £40. Shell tuned up for £30, job done.
