Yes, because CR2015 says so. It is an off the shelf, mainstream part rather than anything custom made. It isn't the buyer's problem what the supply chain looks like. Items purchased over the counter are not returnable unless faulty except where the retailer allows it. I offer credit notes to the value but nothing in law compels me to offer anything.
One Caveat though is that the supplier is entitled to make a deduction from the refund if the goods are not in original and resellable condition. So don't even unwrap it before sending back.
