Clarke Compressor

I did check mine and it is the same model, SE14A150. the motor looks identical so it is original, single phase 3hp, 150l receiver. mine is dated oct 1989.
If it doesnt cut out maybe its just adjusted too high - pull the cover off the pressure switch and wind the nut down a bit

After checking mine over today the motor still has the Clarke plate on so it original.
Also I though the pump had been replaced, but looking at others on google the pump looks the same so guess that’s original too.

Mine is date stamped as July 1986. Clarke have already responded to me to tell they don’t do any spares for it anymore due to age so I’ll have to get gasket paper for the pump to rebuild it

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your help on this, rebuilt all the pump at the weekend and it’s now making a full pressure within 6-7 mins easily well happy!

Different make but pulled the cover off the pressure switch on my compressor just now and theres two adjuster nuts. One has a + - the other has the same but with a triangle symbol beside it. Guessing one is cut off pressure and one cut in pressure but which is which?

They set the hysteresis. The positive increases the cut-off pressure and the negative the cut-in pressure.

So they both do the same? Have tried a half turn of each one at a time but not seeing much difference.
Was wanting to join two together when needed but although both cut out at 150 on their gauges when joined one gauge reads lower than the other so filling with the higher one only the relief valve cuts in on the other tank before the motor cuts out.
