I bought a clarke se16c150 air compressor from a guy but he took the coupling/fitting that conects the tank to a house and I don.t know where can i find one, if someone knows i.ll appreciate Thanks

I'm guessing hose, not house! If you have a Machine Mart anywhere near, they will have any fittings you need. It's difficult to see what size the outlet is, but the thread will be BSP (British standard pipe) so if M.M. Haven't got a reducer to fit, you will get a reducing bush at any builders or plumbers merchant. Also any engineering supplier will keep air line fittings, but will probably charge more than MM.

Just seen Skotl's reply & yes he's right, but I have hopefully answered you question.

Google "BSP thread sizes" to get the correct size, BSP is a bit funny as the size refers to the pipe, not the thread.

Don't attempt to remove the plug from the tank - they're the Devil's own job to get a decent seal!

Thanks guys! It is a "hose" indeed, my phone is overwrithing. A MM shop is too far from me, i was thinking to remove it from the tank, good job for telling me not to I.ll try to see if toolstation/wickes have any bushes. It seems to be 1"the hole!! Thanks again :-)

I think you'll find that the 1" hole is 3/4 BSP, as rtbcomp says on pipe threads the size refers to the bore of the pipe, not the outside diameter.

I see that your in Biscester, that's were ABAC compressors are based, they may have don thing suitable

Anyway, why was the fitting removed ?

difficult to see from the angle but it looks more like 6/8" on the ruler to me or more normally called 3/4"

did you measure partway along the tape or from the end? if from the end did you have the slidey bit pushed in or pulled out?

Remember this will be a taper thread not parallel as you would find on a standard bolt.

Job done! I bought from screw fix a 1/2 to 1/4 reducer and a 1/4 male coupling they fit like a glove...... thank you all

BSP female threads are usually parallel, the male could be parallel (BSPP) or tapered (BSPT).
