Yesterday I took the LC to Dave Whattam (Mutt's Nuts) at his unit near Wetherby for him to put it on his dyno and optimise the carburation. There's a big hole in the fuelling between 4500 and 5500 rpm, and all my efforts to fix it have failed. It took Dave a few dyno runs, with and without air/fuel sensor probes to make an educated guess as to what was needed, and he basically got it right first time. The needle valves and seats were worn out and effectively raising the float height, making it run too rich. I'd also fitted 'safe' 220 main jets, which Dave replaced with 200 mains, and fitted a couple of carb service kits to fix the float height issue. The before and after runs are shown below. That will make a massive improvement to rideability.

Yes, the ambient temps had increased quite a bit from the first run. I'm very happy with the results.

The problem I'd have with a bike like that (if I had the spare cash) is that I'd likely only use about three hundred quids worth of the £200k potential.Don’t suppose there are 100 people with £2000 on here who want to buy a share?

I recall the arguments in the late 70's about which was quicker, the Jota or a big Jap four, usually settled by us piling into the pub carpark to watch the "combatants" do battle on the dual carriageway outside

Resurrecting a sleeping thread here. Time flys, and although I have a classic BSA (post #43 ), I've renewed the search for different bike now that the plague seems to have subsided, and I've recovered from the busted ribs issue. I like to see the bike in the flesh before I make a decision, but as its a long drive, I would appreciate any feedback from anyone here that has had experience with a dealer in Shipley West Yorkshire known as " Cobb And Jagger " ? Thanks.

Over the years it’s changed a lot and now yet again in a brand new building 100metres away. It’s years since I dealt with them and only for service and parts for Ducati which were good and in the nineties they did Mz too which I needed them for. I’ve a friend who has had about four premium bikes off them all good except last time within a couple of years ago they were very arrogant towards him. For a v4 multistrada so that’s as honest as I can go.

Thanks. I've taken the time to read the review's in their entirety, also taking into account the date when a review was posted. Online reviews are not verified, but I guess better than one's posted only on a dealer's site. At least here on our forum I can expect an honest reply if a member has had a good, misleading, or deceptive experience with a dealer.

Maybe I should make it clear, cobb and jagger are far better than those at superbike factory in Macclesfield if that’s your concern.

There's a 2019 Honda nc750x with 845 miles on the clock, which essentially is a new bike; that is if the mileage can be trusted, which kind of pops up a red flag. I like the white colour combination with silver wheels, looks good to me.

That's my intent, but its a long drive. Technically the bike is five years old now, and the price is not far off of a brand new one available at my local dealership, "Thunder Road" in Bridgend; but the look of the new model doesn't really appeal to me.
