Cleaning out rusty vintage axle

Epoxy. Just wot it sez on the tin of 2-part floor paint! Sounds like we have a winner.

Hmmm, not all epoxies are the same unfortunately.

I reasoned that the stuff the RAF uses seems to be impervious to all the oils and fluids dropped in my garage since it was painted a few years ago so it ought to survive inside the axle casing.
There is only one way to find out...
