Hi Wallace, I thought of making, that;s a clever idea chunkolini has come up with.

I don't like the strap being too wide and I will trim shape it down some.
But here is another picture of it mocked up

Just be very careful when rolling spring steel...
If one end gets loose and can spin freely it can easily break fingers.

I think to make jig, get the spacing and tension right and to put dog leg on will be a lot.

Am I missing something here, why are you talking about using spring steel it's not a working trap. You could just use mild steel, it's only got to look right doesn't it?
