Cold cut saw

So do you think my 3 hp phase converter would struggle in the high speed ? Also the bloke has said the clutch sometimes needs adjusting do you think this is a problem

do we think this would run the motor that goes up to 3 hp

Regarding converters and hp, my, static converter will start and run bigger motors than their nameplate suggests. Once span up a 15hp (it's 2.5hp rated I think)

But obviously it won't like it if you try to more than the rated 3hp of "work". As a cold saw isn't that much of an intertial load, I'd think it would be fine
