On the ebay site for the jawal it says 2 parts clear 1part unibinder and 10% thinner, on the tins it says 2:1:1 i called them to confirm and 2:1:1 is how it should be mixed, worked great for me at this ratio.

I believe so but it is a convertor to a 1k system so it air dries, I have used it on high build primer so far and it works ok just needs a little more thinners than advised. Dries quickly and sands ok. Will try with some 2k solid topcoat when I get further with my resto.
I can only comment on the primer but it sprays and sands ok, overcoats with high solvent basecoat and 1k clear without reaction. Only issue I have is the uni binder is thick so need more thinners than usual and you need to be a little more careful when flatting. The results were ok overall though, going to try some in direct gloss 2k when weather picks up.

Used a devilbiss gti pro with a T1 aircap and 1.4mm nozzle. The repair after 7 months looks as good as new.

Steelj, did Jawel supply you with the Pro-Spray 7000 clearcoat as part of the kit? As this clear is supposed to be mixed 3:1 I was wondering why Jawel say to do it 2:1 with Unibinder.

Hi, I noticed this thread talking about ISO FREE 2k/Unibinder/Jawal and I wonder if it's worth me trying it. Going back a few years I tried a few ISO FREE 2K clearcoats and none of them were really any good at that time. They weren't completely clear in colour (a little yellow) and also really thick. Worse than this was the fact that even after the 7 day drying period @ 20c the finish was easily affected from water spotting.
I saw Jawal's ISO FREE 2K kit on ebay with unibinder (Pro Spray 7000) and am thinking of giving it a bash... My car is garaged and I know nothing is going to be as good as true 2K but is this new unibinder/jawal stuff really any good? Some half decent ISO FREE 2K that goes on well and doesn't water spot the first time it rains will be good for a start!

Yes i got it with the pro spray 7000, on all the tins including the pro spray it says mixing ration 2:1:1, i called Jawal and confirmed that 2:1:1 was correct and they said it was and i'm getting great results using that ratio.
The repair in this thread is now 7 months old and feels as hard as the rest of the car and the panels i painted at the weekend were hard enough not to mark with a fingernail after 24 hours.

I guess I was being a bit cheeky poking my nose into this thread, but it seems like this stuff might be quite good. Can I ask people who have used this whether or not the paint is crystal clear when mixed up? All the Acrylic NON-ISO 2K I've tried in the past was like a honey colour in the tin... Cromadex/Churchill/Smart Express I think they were.
I also had issues with solvent pop using these in the past, but they were very think. The problem went away pretty much when it was thinned down some more. I guess the thickness of the paint was trapping solvent/bubbles... I'm not an expert painter, but it's a hobby I like!
A painter friend of mine hates anything that isn't ISO, and considers everything NON-ISO as c*r*a*p (don't they all?) but there's no way I'm shooting real 2K in my back yard or garage. This jawal stuff sounds promising.
