its not the end of the world, you can drain it out any time, id use something like what i was talking about earlier, the 0w/40 or anything with a 40 in it on the engine oil side, it id be more suited to a crank than the 32.

From what i can figure both tanks have a 1/2" BSP port on them, so i was going to buy two '1/2" thread to 1/2" tail' connectors and connect the tanks with re-enforced hose with a 10mm internal diameter.

I've read the 1/2" tail is approx 12mm so should suit the 10mm inside diameter hose. Want to connect them with flexible hose so that I can move them about if needed.

I find that you want the same size hosetail as the hose is - i.e 12mm hose for a 12mm tail which should in fact be a little bigger as it's designed for 12mm hose and should fit just right.

as long as it has oil. compressors are not the same as engines.

the oil is not pumped round the engine.
there is no compustion
the power is alot lower therefore the pressures will be alot lower
temperatures will be alot lower
useage characteristics will be different
from room temp to warm for a few minutes every so often depending on useage not cold to hot for constant periods
single speed

engin oil wasn't developed for these conditions

This is what i have so far, a compressor with a 50lt tank, and a 200lt tank.

I have a little shed just for the job, so of course I have to go to town on this, I'm going to shelve the whole thing and then the next tenants can marvel at how much energy I dropped into the sucker.

These are the connections all my bits have, i think they are called euro connectors, I believe the opening is 8mm or thereabouts, and I think they are common on hobby compressors

this is another type i soptted on ebay. This looks like the opening is 8mm too. Does that not restrict the airflow?
Im confused as to what to do regarding connectors. Is there a point in getting 12mm airline if the connectors are actually 8mm?

Connectors can be bought cheaply by the set on ebay, so replacing them all is do-able, just dont know which to go for.
