Been away for a few days, capacitificatorisator thingy turned up while I was away.
Fitted it and nowt.
I was just about to refit the old one when I had an idea, I fitted my spray gun and blew air around and it started up a treat, no rattles or reluctance.
Big thanks all, compressor is working again.
