Rtb is there a specific type of gasket I should use if I'm cutting it?

I hope to god this works or I'm at a loss as to why it takes an eternity to fill!

Stands to reason now that the problem has come to light.....been losing compression.

I think knowing the gasket set is available I'd buy the set even though they're in the states.

I'm going to email them to check its the right kit definatly, but I'm going to order the lot....get that damn thing working like a trooper again!

Allow for the extra cost of import duties.
For what they are, it seems pricey - make your own, for a lot less

I think Klingerit might do the trick - Google it.

(Searching for Klingerit on Ebay returned some interesting results )

I would goggle Ingersoll rand parts suppliers in the UK first before ordering from the states.

Right then guys...here to pick your brains again!

After changing the head gasket, lower gasket, valve plate (with gasket) cleaning the air filter and changing the oil....I seem to have made things worse.

I've gone from an awful (3hp 150 litre) 11 minute 30 second fill to a shocking 18 minute fill....(this is to 125psi)

It also makes a strange noise now so I'll try and post a video later tonight.

I keep thinking I should get shot of it....but I'm in deep with monies now and on a more personal note I don't want to let it beat me!

Any more suggestions or ideas would be more then welcomed!

not sure if it will be of any help but the last (only!) compressor i repaired, struggled to get to get to pressure, due to a crack in the copper pipe that went to from the pump to the tank
