@anjum I have moved your query to here http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/carbon-filter-for-spraying.48183/ to retainn the integrity of this thread
like I asked in the first post can reponses be kept limited to the original concept this thread is starting to off the rails big time with sugestions that all seme to be more work for less an effective solution at a higher cost then what I have suggested:/ and am strating to get sick of writeing response to half baked ideas(have to understand the mechanics and enginerring principles to what your working on if you don't know these things how can you work/improve on it).
I have looked into other ideas and even tried a few things to find they don't work there is plenty of info out there already about this subject with some ideas that are just bad like raiseing the cut out switch preasure which is a no no because each compressor pump is desgined to produce a safe max preassure going beyond this just wrecks your pump with extra heat and run time as well as that it can also crack valves/reeds and the preasure can just by pass the rings so it ends up running for no reason because it never hits the shut of load it just ****** out every where but into the tank. also pumps are designed with a reciver tank size spec and adding capacity makes the compressor run longer creating heat and excess wear.
if an idea is good enough to look into make sure you get all the info keep reading and reading and in the end it will contradict itself.
also internet forums are a great source of information but does the person posting actually have knowledge on the subject and is giving valid advice with good intentions or are they a psychopath that is just spiting out anything he thinks of is worth posting. I don't know you have to make your own mind up and have a basic knowledge of what your reading for the information to make sense. after I was on here last night I found an American forum article from 2012 with some one recommending to some one with the same water issues exactly this idea its a shame I didn't cut and paste the link into hear because this person said he has done it a few times and his go to solution to remedy the problem. running pipe for 4 laps around my garage befor I take air of just seemed crazy to me so I applied sound knowledge in a new idea executed difrently.
If you want a properly engineered solution stop messing about with cheap crap and go and buy a proper air dryer package with a screw compressor to run it.
