I read a bit in a book lately which talked about how technology innovation in the states in the early years of industrialisation was driven by a shortage of labour i.e. lots of land, lots of resource not enough workers.A few places around me are renting these as of late, getting pretty popular:

I think it’s interesting how this seems to play out in more modern American culture. I know you’re quite keen on volumetric mixers anyway but the mud mixer thing you’ve linked to seems like quite a good example.
I imagine distances over in the states make something like that a useful thing too, I suppose if you live somewhere remote the concrete will have gone off in the truck.
It looks like a fun thing to play with in any case.
