Coolant hose for Boxford lathe

Swim Upstream.....change out all of it to standard pipe fittings, make your life easier.
After you add the Loc-Line fittings, you won't need swiveling, etc.
They have valves that snap on, Tee fittings, etc.
Very modular.

Cut the pipe at bottom of photo either thread the end or weld or solder a fitting on the end that has a 1/8” male thread. The new flex hose is twistable and the plastic valve will screw onto the thread on the pipe

I'm sure I have a 1/4 NPT Tap.

Is the top spigot screwed in, pressed in, what diameter is the pipe? 5/16"

OK. Something that has a watertight swivel joint, with quick disconnect as a bonus.

Screwfix 62371 clamped solidly onto pipe
Screwfix 580KP threaded onto the 1/4" BSP thread above.
Screwfix 5763H plugged into female PCL fitting.
eBay 1/4" BSP F to 1/4" NPT F

That might work out well as you could swap the locline for a piece of rubber hose with male PCL coupler on it and shove it onto any through coolant boring bar you have.

That would do it. Now need to find a locline supplier who doesn’t slap nearly £20 on the price for postage.

What thread? Or more precisely, what component could you buy with a 1/4" NPT female thread in one end of it and a 5/16" or 8mm female thread in the other end?

You coyuld replace the O rings in the JG push fit for some thicker ones

Ok 1/4" female coupler then, weld it onto the end of the pipe, get rid of bends etc you don't need them. You can also lengthen the segmented hose if you want to.

Found some loc-line pipe on Cromwell tools.

MSC were very nice, but their Highlands postage is listed as £4.95, but when checking out it turns into £14 + VAT, which gave me the hump a bit.
