chances are it will be a bsp thread so its hardly likely a bolt will fit ., just take the fitting along and buy a blank plug to match the threads with

this didn't improve the compressor much still doesnt seem to hold the pressure going to look at something a bit better.

Sounds like it doesn't have enough capacity for the tools you're using then.

Yeah I guess so! Really unsure whether I should get another better compressor or just buy corded tools of what I need.

Well, to run air tools properly, all except DA's that is, you need a 3HP belt drive job.
The price of decent one of that spec should decide it for you.

I bought a Clarke impact wrench, not happy on a cheap 1/4" regulator. This was on a 1.5hp direct drive compressor. Rather better on a proper 2hp belt drive 100lt receiver job. But still needs a better regulator. i.e. more flow.
