Could an amateur make a floor-standing arco light?

Most big plumbing merchants will sell polished thin wall stainless in 2 or 3 mtr lengths , but after seeing that floor standing lamp for £53 plus delivery .
I doubt your going to equal or get near that price when you add the cost of the shade , the bulb holder , the cable & plug , the on off foot switch and the base base .
Buy the lamp & take her out for a meal as well . .....

Needs a little more work before it goes in the Pajero as a rollcage though
