In short, I disagree with this version. This coupling is made in a piece version, with a low level of applied technology. The discovery that it is possible for polyamide and polyacetal to adhere to steel simply by applying intermittent pressure is rewarded.

what are you driving with this coupling ,, do you have a picture , may help in the ideas department.

There was an assumption that this is a standard solution and you can buy another, knowing the name of the type of coupling.

The coupling can be repeated, in better quality, there are more than enough ideas.

You can disagree if you'd like, but given Igus go in to specific detail about required surface finishes, and I've personally seen polymer bushes stick/transfer to polished shafts, I know who'd I'd belief.
I would scan the relevant catalogue pages, but I can't find my bushing catalogue (every other one is on the shelf above my computer!), and you need to individually request their white papers on the subject.

I would use a fenaflex coupling. They are fit and forget.

There are no high temperatures, good cooling. The Vicat softening point is very, very far away. I work with high-tech polymers and I know what to expect from them. These polymer fingers are chewed and deformed up and down after half a year, but the pneumatic cylinder does its job and shifts the shaft, despite the sad state of the cylinders. I don't like the noise and howl of the clutch.
