Its a tipper? Wow that floor bed must be strong going by the size of that rock the cranes lifting,unless its got some plate underneath.
Judging from where your using it,i'd put on the best paint etc you can find,also dont forget to wax the inside of the new chassis add on's
Please dont called it a car,its a truck,trucks are tough,cars aren't

after seeing what you are lifting with it I guess its breaking the chassis just at the rear of the cab

yes, but that crack was before install crane i must put on both sides trailer jacks to supoort Truck

it have 10mm steel plate under and 2 i-beam.

Cracking structural work is very rarely fully welded but vehicle chassis are
The reason is it can actually spread the issue out and localise it to the reinforcing ends

I have years ago fitted quite a few hyab cranes to waggons
Used to always fish plate ( two tapered end plates over the stress area) stitched this avoids corner stresses

Not seen the crack but just covering it might not be that smart it might need the ends drilling

I wonder if someone who has done lots of these could be contacted or ford themselves?

Hi, I can remember years ago that Transits that had spec lifts on used to break the chassis behind the cab. Because normally the load in that area is downwards, with a car on the back the load is upwards and with passage along the road it ends up alternating and induces fatigue. You don't see many vehicles of this type with spec lifts fitted partly because of legislation and partly because the vehicles get damaged.

today i took of the tank and grind off the "crack" and it look like te ex owner done ****ty job, it doesn't look so bad..

that will be heavy loading doing that, in the 90s I repaired a transit recovery vehicle that had gone at the same point on the chassis only from the top as the vehicle had a spec lift so the loading on the chassis was the other way round

I think it crack because he finished repair in wrong place.. maybe if he done it behind the cab it will work

Yes. I will overplate both sides, bottom of te frame is rusted i must cut it because rust will go up
