I had a good look on YT, I cant find any videos showing just how fast and precise an alu burr can make parts, so will try to make a vid when I next get outside.
While CNC would be nice to have access to, I wouldnt enjoy the process. Consider that there are machining services like JLC that can machine alu or print stainless at reasonably cheap rates, and plenty of laser/plasma/water cutting services.
I quite often use CA for securing parts in the lathe.

I use superglue/CA adhesive. Comes off easily by gentle heat to 100c, any residue will wipe off with acetone.If its thin stock I glue it to 5 or 6mm ply with PVA and soak it off later
