Cheers for all your information I've past on the information to him and all different ways as I'm not doing the job although I would turn down anything cast unless a customer really understands that welding cast with limited skills is a near 90 % chance of failing and that's why I'm cheap but I digress I found some utetic 320 cast rods can't remember the numbers 2.5 it states on the box weld 75mm and pein. As I would more then likely buy silicon bronze and either Tig braze or oxey accetylne it but like I've said it's his tractor engine his way of doing it I've passed all you guys information if anything I've probably learnt more than my supervisor from this and I have a unimportant cast bracket to weld it does nothing except hold a non structural tube in I might buy some silly bronze and Tig weld one side and cast iron rod and pein the other again cheers all you have helped greatly and sorry for the long message
