There is a bit of discussion on what works and what won't but I've never had an blockage since I made and fitted mine, wish I had done years ago.
Having said that I would go with brightspark's, if you were thinking of making one, as it's tried and tested.
I just can't leave a perfectly good design alone without fiddling with it and making it out of whatever I have in the scrap pile.
