I left it on as I don't speed. Really. I'm a careful driver in my daily driver. I won't mention full engine load testing in my S600.

Don't know enough about it to comment but as I said you can turn speed off. Note these also only record 3 minutes at a time on repeat. So when issuing a recording its only a 3 minute window if your own driving not the whole trip.
Anyway - if you suspect you may have a high propensity to speed then agreed. Don't get a dashcam.
I wouldn't say high propensity......short loop recording could be a solution but would need some way to save on the fly or drive., it's really more to catch the lunatics, I could run a YouTube channel the amount of idiots I come across on a daily basis, today was someone whom I presume is beyond driving who drove the wrong side of a center island clearly signed with big pointy arrows, straight into on coming traffic.

I fitted this to my wife's car a few weeks ago and I have to say that, value for money, it's really hard to beat: Apple Carplay, Android whatever-their-carplay-is, front facing recording camera, rear facing (non recording) camera that can be wired into the reverse lights etc.

Checking their site nextbase say a 64 - 256gb card is compatible U3 class
Best to always buy nextbase branded micro sd cards for these and nothing else

I just buy compatible cards from other (cheaper) sources, never had any issues in 7 years of nextbase camera use.

I've found the solution
Motorbike twin camera system, with remote to trigger saving events
in the last 2 days I've been a witness to a rear end collision as guy was looking right at roundabout and not at the little car in front with a nice green P plate, I stopped to give details incase of any attempts to worm out of i
Had 2 idiots at roundabouts nearly taken the front of my van off as they have no clue how to exit a roundabout, had a woman pull out straight across the front of me and the wife caus she was too busy looking the wrong way, looking left whilst turning right, and had an idiot who either didn't see me at all or thought it was ok to pull out onto dual carriageway in front of me with about 50ft gap which rapidly reduced
