Dead blow hammers for hammer forming

Just had to dig in a parts box to find a tyre gauge and blow me, there’s me old hammer and sand bag. ‘Tis indeed Lignum Vitae wood too. I had such great plans when I bought it, 22 years ago….

That’s a thing to be treasured lignum vitae is very hard to obtain nowadays

Not a relavent hammer but picked up a box full of hammers from a sale yesterday

Not sure whether one of the top right is for to be honest or one that's labelled coal hammer (top left but one). Never heard of a coal hammer.

The coal hammer, was for breaking up large lumps of coal, into smaller pieces, to fit into your coal fire.
The top right one , is an ,adze, it is for shaping wood.
