Looks great.Recently I thought I would advertise my Unimog for sale, its got a camper box on the back and only done 24,000km in 40 odd years. As you can imagine it was a bit of a tyre kicker/dreamer fantasy wagon.
Nothing, nothing could have prepared me for the absolute tsunami of tyre kickers that whipped themselves into a frenzy at the prospect of buying it . People were trying to get discounts if they promoted my company on instagram, some wanted to hire it,people were telling me thay had found a terrible error in the registration doccuments so it was only really worth 1/3 of what I was asking.
I would say I had about 300 messages, emails, but not one phone call! It seems to a large section of society that flinging out random messages lowballing expensive vehicles is a way of life?
anyhoo its still for sale so if anyone has a spare £20K I will put it on a boat to England the day after I get the money.
My neighbour whose 'into' his cars but doesn't know a screwdriver from a spanner is looking at buying a Defender. He sent me links to a 25 year old Td5 90 and a 17 year old TDCI 110 and asked what I thought. All bling, resprayed, led lights, upgraded grills, quilted bucket seats etc. £20k+ . Told him he needs to concentrate on the chassis and bulkhead condition and mechanicals and look past the bling. But what do I knowLoads of optimistically priced defenders about too, not even at "lockdown" pricing, but more an extension of that, with the idea that it's still a rising market, and they must have been the "investment opportunity" that they were advertised as.
I reckon my 110, which isn't for sale anyway, would have been 10k at the peak but probably down to 5ish again now.
As everyone knows, it only matters if you're buying or selling, and im doing neither, but it's still a curiosity.
What sort of gallons per mile does it deliver?Based on what I see up here it's the Germans that love these things. I dread to think of the fuel bills and how long it takes them to get anywhere.
Is this still available?
Only if I can collect itWots the least you'd take m8????
Wud you take a 1992 ford fiesta and +£200!?
If anyone is genuinely interested I know a chap in Denmark who transports cars to UK & North / Central Europe... can pass on his details if neededI think that might sell well over here, can it fit in a container ?
Or is there a boat run for hauling vehicles specialty ?

Was running three of them at one point, just the one now and that doesn’t really get that much road use, they are an ag/forestry tool, that’s about it.
Bob
