I find the acetate ones attract the dust and scratch up pretty quick.

I use glass. Normal glass stays clear for a long time but toughened would be better. Cut your own and it costs next to nothing, pay someone else and it'd still be cheaper than that. Clear laminate on the outside if you're worried about it exploding into your face.

I started using toughened glass in my Guyson but it was silly money and weeks for delivery, so I switched to normal glass without any issues (as long as you don't drop anything on it or hit it from the inside...).

Then I switched to polycarbonate as I had a sheet of 6mm lying around: worked fine but went opaque after a while, so then I cut a new slab of polycarb and wrapped it in ordinary clingfilm. I find as long as I replace the clingfilm when it starts to shred, the polycarb can be reused probably a dozen times before it gets too cloudy.

I managed to get some vacuum forming plastic on a roll from a company I was working for, works just as well as the original overpriced sheet supplied.

hate to say it but thats more expensive.


personaly i just use glass, 6mm window glass and 4mm horticultual glass. just make your blast cabinet window a sensible size and its cheep. i havent had to buy any yet just enough seems to just keep turning up

Interesting....I have some sticky lamination on a large roll from when I had a large format printer and some printable vinyl in the same format. ...I don't have a blaster running currently so who wants to be guinea pig.

I would need to know the size you needed. A4 would be great as I have some cardboard shipping envelops if that's large enough........

As I suggested on page one used it for some time a whole role is cheap & as long as you clean glass it sort of glues on change it as soon as it gets torn\worn

OHP sheets. Thick, cheap and easy to fix with double sided tape. Work a treat in my blast box!
