I needed better access for welding the osf footwell (1 patch) , both front inner wheelarches (4), osf bodymounts (2), both sills (3) and nsr arch (1).
Didn't have to remove the wheels.
Weee a ski jump...hit the gas daddy.....I've seen a few of these, mostly on the Scottish islands, and also in Wales:

This one's a couple of miles from Rodel, on the Isle of Harris.
£300 got me a 4 post lift, yes, it's still sat on a trailer awaiting a concrete base.

Why use ramps instead of a jack?
I don't like using ramps or jacks, they both scare me a bit.
But I'm quite happy to use heavy concrete blocks...
Plenty solid enough for my Disco TD5, runs up there no worries.
Disco is standard height so goodish room anyway, but these lift it about another 8-inches, quite handy.
And very cheap...
