I can do what I like on the inside. In Finland rather than having double or triple glazing they tend to have a secondary glazing system with single glazing on the outside and double glazing on the inside.
there is another way you can make double glazing on the cheap
its using a plastic film as my house was rented horrible cold and single glazed at that

Just a thought, it looks like it's ground floor, if doing it for bedrooms think about "means of escape" - I've seen a lot of DG that would turn upstairs into a death-trap in a fire

Anyone have any ideas for a seal between the glass and frame? I was thinking about making a channel for a round seal that would be compressedby the glass, but don't know all the options.
