That's a nice vid.
Two things to note - the flame around the arc, and the speed of travel. He's using a cellulosic rod - proper pipeline stuff. It has an intense arc and very deep penetration. And a very fast freezing slag, hence the ability to easily weld downhill.

saw a similar incident , agricultural builder / steel building erector , was using the farmers manitou . He had some rsj's across the forks and was cutting some off the end with a stihl saw
As you might guess a few stray sparks went underneath the machine ,set light to some oil / diesel .
luckily after several buckets of water /3 fire extinguishers the fire was out .
I think the final bill was a few thousand quid , not quite a new machine
