Durafix easyweld

i wouldnt have thought so
it runs like solder ideal for repairing lugs and joining sheet metal but u cant build up metal without putting something round it to stop the metal from just running away

It can be used. Hardest part is getting the part clean. It must be perfectly clean for brazing rods to stick.

You would have to make a form to hold the brazing material in place as it runs like water. Steel tube would work that fits the holes.

To be honest that part is only fit for copying. I think it's safe to say you could spend hours repairing that only for it to spring another hole somewhere else.

I had to drill through a piece of 1 1/2" Aluminum with a 3/4" hole in it. First hole was tapped 5/16", second hole was to be 5/16" tapped also. Drill wobbled a little and tore out partial threads. Set part with ******ed hole down on steel plate, snuck some of that rod in from inside, and heated it up and filled the hole up from inside. Drilled and tapped and good to go.

Well, I had a go with HTS-2000, and it turned out pretty well, I think -results on the other thread.

It's great! but i'm bound to say that.... please let me know if you need any advice or info....

I am building a sidecar for motorcycle and would like to know if durafix is strong enough to "weld" the different sections together.

What is its torsion strength. Because the last thing I want is the welds to snap while riding.

ive repaired a few things with it and its great on small repairs . but i certainly wouldnt weld a sidecar or any other part that was so important for safety and strength
