Very good question, I've recently been working with a glass recycling company that make exactly the same. Bract I've got quite a big bag of it myself to use at home!!

Yes the crystalline silica (the dangerous stuff) is vitrified in the glass making process and thus rendered safe. Client spent quite alot of money on some fancy lab analysis to prove that it was safe

Yes I can confirm, no matter how finely ground the crushed glass is, it has no respirable crystalline silica

Back to the original question - it reads to me as though he is truing to extract via the inlet (back filter). I've removed the filter pad from mine and connected a Henry vac to the side via an interceptor bucket and it keeps the cabinet nice and clear when using glass beads.

crushed glass is bloody cheep anyway. and how ften have you bought kiln dryed wet sand from builders merchant.

depends on what u are cleaning glass on alli beds in sand doesn't
