Not one but two truly epic Eagle restorations (yours and Pete’s). I don’t think I could tackle a job quite as involved as that!

I have just got my eagle last week and looks same model as yours.

What size mag chuck did yours have please? Looks a great fit.

Thought I recognised it. Place is about 25 minutes from me. I was there the other week.

I have an eagle (mk 4, maybe) and find it to be a very useful machine.

Mine, I think, is a Mk 4. The drive belt runs outboard on the spindle (so easy to remove/replace). Don’t known if that was specifically a Mk 4 improvement or not. The motor is mounted the other way, too, of course.

A 14" may vice fits nicely. That's what I mostly use. And I have a 10" 2-way sine vice for more complex stuff. It's heavy.

My mag chuck is a 14 x 6 inch one. Don't go any bigger as the max table travel is only about 1/4" past the end of the chuck either end, so you wouldnt be able to grind it flat.
