Well the XMT hadn't Been powder coated or anything Jim and still had the hire number painted on lol... Looked a wee bit scabby with scuffs and knocks but worked perfectly and was not worried about exterior condition and the 8vs suitcase was near brand new just scratched a bit on the plastic case which is unavoidable anyway. It has the digtal sun meters Installed and it's a lot of welder for 1600 quid I reckon. They don't seem to come up too often that I see maybe you see loadsI don't like to buy them for much more than around £5-600 preferably less, but sold on, with a tidy up, warranty and PAT test about a grand out to an end user is fair. They often need powder coating, decals, mains leads and fans and welding terminals suffer on fleet use so there is a bit required to make them tidy enough to sell. I'd say you did ok.
Shush you. No there aren't.There are EWM dealers in your vicinity
Very true, Reps like their sales figures to look good though don't they :PYou don't have to sell the hire fleet items on demand. It's your choice after all.

Yeah sounds like he does a nice job. The Miller Extreme with meters is a about 1800 quid alone I think. I always dreamed of having an XMT 350 but could never of afforded a new one. When I worked in a shipyard it was XMTs they had so when a second hand one came up for 1000 I jumped at it scratched and some minor dents or not...I buy them off a fellow dealer who normally has to commit to 10-30 units to get them at the prices he wants to pay. They have become a very popular item for resellers to jump on but most don't do the above work, just sell them on for a high profit and fix them if there is a problem. My supplier prefers to get them all to a top level of finish and make a bit less money but know they are 100% when they leave the door.
LOL!!!!!! And you said I was badShush you. No there aren't.
*fingers in ears*
LALALALALALALALALA
You are bad. Don't make me tell them about you putting two TIGs together for a "cuddle"...LOL!!!!!! And you said I was bad
I see someone selling a lorch Saprom S3 for 3 grand matt on flea bay. That looks some beast...
When I joined Lorch, the had a pretty old model which was discontinued a year or so later and that had Pulse MMA and the claim was it was easier to use on thin sheets, I tried it and it was better but if you have a lot of thin sheets, then MMA isn't the process of choice.
Then about 4 years back when they launched the X350 they re-introduced this Pulse feature on MMA but this time it had much more scope for adjustment and was marketed around vertical t-fillets without the need for weaving. It does work well, you can get a 4.0mm Lo-Hy and put a nice looking root weld in on a Vert T-Fillet.
I imagine the EWM feature to be just as useful
Not now ive sold it, order one and I'll do a vid before I post it out to you
