Yeah. I was thinking that.

You don't get many Silent Diesels.

Wouldn't have thought there was much call for welding them....

Friend of mine makes F1 models, whole different thing, but...

Makes all the patterns and gets the parts cast in assorted metals, resin or rubber. Then there's all the mucking about, trying to get the paint finish right (difficult on a scale model), finding mesh to make the screens for the induction trumpets, the right diameter material to make the brake lines, HT leads, and fuel lines, and so on.

They look good, and you could have fun getting the raw materials together. Going into mass production could cause problems though

Prefer them to some of the other stuff, I bet the early versions looked a bit tragic, I know I could not do that.
I lived in Ghana for a couple of years and loved the toys made out of old cans etc, in those days they were made big big Bro' and his mates now they are making them in factories for export. Confused by that one. The ones made with a passion are fantastic, the export models?
