Zip it up in a password protected file using winzip or similar, then send the password separately,

no point all anyone has to do is pass the password

zip it up, split it up, sends quicker and upload it

game companies and others use torrent to send large files now theyve pinched it from the other source but you can send files through it yourself

Box.net lets you know, via email, when someone has downloaded the file. Once you see that message, delete the file. If you start getting more than one message, then the chances are other people are downloading it. Delete file. Sending it, password encrypted, on a micro SD card, with the password sent separately by email or text message, is probably the most secure method.
